From Japan, where BL (Yaoi) originates, comes a heartwarming tale of love, friendship, familial relationship, peer pressure and coming out.

Daichi Kaneko, 24, plays the lead role as Jun, a closeted teenage gay, who is intimately involved with a matured male executive.

With a striking resemblance to Yamazaki Kento, Kaneko is also an accomplished actor:

The now 24-year-old actor got into Amuse through its 2014 audition. He wasn’t alone, however, since that same audition is also responsible for the careers of Kiyohara Kaya and Hotta Mayu, among others. Keeping that in mind, it was no surprise that both Kaya and Kaneko were selected to join agencymate Nomura Shuhei in the 2015 anime movie, Taifuu no Noruda, resulting in their proper debut as actors on the Amuse roster – even though it wasn’t exactly a regular onscreen role. |source|

While he has made a variety of roles, portraying Jun in this BL series, he demonstrated the qualities of what makes an actor great.

Let’s see what the drama is all about:

Jun (Daichi Kaneko) is an 18-year-old high school student. He hides the fact that he is gay from his mother and other people. Miura-san (Ryoko Fujino) is a classmate of Jun. She likes reading books about BL (genre depicting homoerotic stories). Jun tells Miura-san that BL is just fantasy and that gayness in real life is dirty. Miura-san tells Jun that his remark is offensive to gay people. Nevertheless, Jun and Miura-san become close. Jun becomes interested in Miura-san and Miura-san begins to have feelings for Jun. One day, Miura-san tells Jun that she likes him.

Kaneko’s co-star is Ryoko Fujino who was stellar in Solomon’s Perjury films.
